Education is provided by the professors and teachers of the Information Management Institute (IMI). The Institute staff, led by Professor Kilian Stoffel, is interested in all aspects of information management, with emphasis on information representation and knowledge extraction.

The different projects are largely funded by the Swiss National Fund, as well as through collaborations with businesses. Several projects have led to scientific publications, doctoral thesis and patents.
