Institute of Economic Research (IRENE)
The education that is part of the MscECON (economic policy) is provided by the professors of the Institute of Economic Research (IRENE), which are joined by guest and associate professors. Thanks to their scientific and academic research and their professional experience, they have a solid knowledge of public economy.
Founded in 1985 and with a dozen economists, the IRENE – called Institute of Economic and Regional Research (IRER) until 2005 – is the teaching and research unit of the University of Neuchâtel in economics. Among the various activities of the Institute: education (Bachelor, Master, PhD, continuing education), basic and applied research as well as other community services, notably study and expertise mandates on behalf of national and international private and public bodies. The research activities of the Institute focus on two areas : public and global economy.
