Markus Iseli holds a licence in English Literature and Linguistics, and Media Studies from the University of Fribourg. He completed his mémoire on William Wordsworth and Wallace Stevens in 2007 and is now working on his thesis on Thomas De Quincey and the notion of the self in a scientific context. His research interests include Romantic literature, Thomas De Quincey, the intersection of science and literature in the nineteenth century, and the British magazine context in the nineteenth century.
